New Podcast: blueskyriverjams

Wednesday, August 3rd, 2005

I got an email today from “Jambandcountry” telling me about a podcast he produces: blueskyriverjams, a podcast that focuses on music from the Allman Brothers Band family, including the Derek Trucks Band:

Free traded music from groups like The Grateful Dead, Allman Brothers Band, Derek Trucks Band, and Gov’t Mule. We also talk about the live music community and list tour dates and much much more. All music is trade friendly and basically just like a stream for people to preview songs from past shows.

Check out the blog and the podcast feed. I haven’t had a chance to listen to the podcast myself yet, but it’s already queued up in my iTunes for listening to tomorrow.

Band Weblogs

Wednesday, March 16th, 2005

Jenny May, author of Band Weblogs, dropped me a note a few days ago telling me about her site:

Band Weblogs is a new directory that gives musicians/creative music writers an opportunity to share opinions, views, daily lives (and anything else they may write in their blogs) and most importantly, their music, with the world of blog readers! Music reviews are also welcome.

They are just starting out, so they are still in the process of recruiting music blogs. It’s a site to keep an eye on.

Thanks to a post at Harmonica Ramblings, I have now discovered the Live Music Blog. It’s a great blog and I’m adding it to the “Live Music Resources” section of Radio DTB.
