Derek Trucks will pull into the Carolina Theatre on Saturday afternoon for a soundcheck and will check out the venue known as Greensboro’s Grand Old Lady. It’ll be the first time he’s played in the 1927 vaudeville hall. He’ll spin through a tune or two and then do what he does almost every day when he’s on the road: make or return a phone call.

This is a great article, well worth the read. I’m not just saying that because it’s from my local paper and talks about the show that I’m looking forward to attending on Saturday. I’m saying it because it offers a glimpse into Derek’s responsibilities as a father and how he manages his road life with his home life.
